Insecurities

We all have insecurities. If its your whole face or your teeth or how you look we all have them. I still haven't found a way to deal with it. Being called ugly in 6th grade made it harder for me. What I do know is that mo matter what some one has  told me I am beautiful and there is nothing wrong with calling your self beautiful, mostly if no one else would.

In the comment section, i don't care if its anonymous, just list the things that you get complimented on or the things you think make you confident or secure (It doesn't have to be on your body, it could be whats in the inside). I'll list mine right here:
  • Eyes (without glasses)
  • Legs
  • Eye lashes
  • Body image (I don't have a model one but I'm comfortable)
  • Writer
  • Volleyball player
  • Helpful
Those are some of mine, wow that was hard, but it made me feel better.  You don't have to do this but I'll tell you my insecurities.
  • My back because I have acne there
  • My face
  • My teeth because I have braces
  • My eyebrows because it's an uni-brow
  • My thighs
  • My hair
I think that is all I can think of right know. All you have to remember is that your insecurities someone else may like them. I have a whole bunch of make up because I try to hide them. I have also Ombre hair because I thought my hair look boring but know I want to cut it because it's really dry. Sometimes I wonder if I really need my make up or if I really did need to dye the bottom of my hair.  Sometimes I look at actresses and ask my self why can't I look like them, why can't I be as pretty as Jennifer Love Hewitt when she was my age. That is one reason for my insecurities because I compare my self to others.
So I found this on Google images and thought it was perfect for this post.

Just remember you are beautiful.

Bullying

BULLYING- V. Use superior strength or influence to intimidate (someone), typically to force him or her to do what one wants.

Bullying is something that happens to everyone, even if you are the bully. Bullying doesn't just happen to the smart kids that do good in school, it happens to the kids that play sports, I know there is a word for them I just forgot it right now. Bullying is something that has to stop.
Two out of three are verbally  or physically harassed every year.
That's 66 percent of teens that get bullied. If you are one of those 66% don't hide it, say something. To me, to teachers, parents, to someone. You can even tell a good friend that will understand, they'll try to help. I never actually never told anyone because I acted like I didn't care. But there are many times when I cry my self to sleep, where I flicked a hair tie to my wrist because I was too scared to cut my self.

When I was bullied the most was in 5th and 6th grade. In fifth grade I moved because my parents didn't like the location and write know I don't remember any of their names. I remember what they did to me and their faces but that is all I remember about the bullies in fifth grade. In 6th grade the bullies are still my classmates because I haven't moved districts.  There was this one time we were in Math and I remembered we were working in groups and I don't really like brushing my hair, until know, and she told me "You should buy a brush" I didn't say anything back, but I wanted to. The people in my group I think they were a little bit supportive but the good thing was that my group was next to the teachers desk. I don't think he did anything. That really hurt me inside but it didn't make me want to change. This is the first time I actually told anyone.

I never have gotten bullied to the point where I wanted to hurt myself, If you can't control it please tell someone, I've always have been able to control it. Some things that help me are talking to my teddy bears, it sound weird but it helps. If you are in middle school or high school you have guidance counselor they are there to help you. I'm also here to help you.

Self Confidence

I have no self confidence, so know you are probably wondering how am I suppose to help you. Well this is how.

One thing you can do is write a list on what people compliment you on, even if you think its your worst fixture. Like for me people always compliment mu hair even if I hate it. They also compliment my eyes when I'm not wearing glasses because they are so much bigger without my glasses, my smile because i have braces and I hate it, and believe it or not my curves, my aunts always compliment me on those.

Also, it doesn't matter whats on the outside, this goes for the guys too, its what is on the inside. Your personality is the only thing that matters. Sometimes, I forget this rule, too. Even if you are the nicest person in school that's not enough, I feel like for me it's not enough. I try to make people like me by wearing a ton of make up, that is not what your suppose to do and it's not going to work. What you could do if you don't want to be mean but try to have some confidence, try to get out of your comfort zone. You can be funny, or even if you are a geek/nerd like me embrace it because you probably will be a better off in the real world.

To stay confident I like to imagine my future living in a big house, being a forensic scientist, and still helping you guys. Also. I imagine me having a husband, that is a detective and about to be recruited by the FBI. I have 4 kids and two of them are twins. So I stay confident by thinking about my future.

I have a YouTube with my cousin and that has helped me stay confident.I hate the way I look and my voice but that doesn't really matter.

Back to my glasses, if you don't like how you look with glasses and have to wear them like me, ask your parents for contacts. My own parents even liked how I looked with out glasses. I needed contacts for volleyball too, because I would stink with my glasses.

Pretty much to stay confident be yourself. I'm more confident when I'm myself.

Introducing Me

Hi, to whoever reads this if you read it. This is a new blog obviously. I'm planning if people do read this I can help and advice teens with any issue you may have. It could be about bullying, self-harm, suicide, etc. Or if you just want to talk to someone. Also, you may think how legit is she, trying to make us talk to her, we barely know her. Well I won't judge you. One because I barely know you so there is no reason for me to judge you I may know your name/username but that's it. Oh and before I forget and keep babbling my name is Sofia. I just thought another reason why you might not trust me with your secrets/problems that you may face I'm only 16 but hey I think that most teens would talk to someone their own age. You can also trust me because I don't know how you look like.

Know lets get to the introducing me part of this post. So as you know my name is Sofia. I live in New York but not the city. I'm 16 and going to be a sophomore in the fall. I got left back in 2nd grade because I didn't speak English like a 2nd grader or read, I spoke Spanish. So if you can read English but type Spanish you may. I'm learning in school how to speak French. I don't know what else to say about me. You can ask me questions about me if you want. OH, I remembered I'm awkward in the real world but not online. So, I think that is all I have to say.

One more thing about the schedule if you guys want one, I could try everyday or every other day.
